URGENT APPEAL - YOU can help make a difference....... - VOTE NOW
PLEASE vote for Gillingham Scout Groups project which has been accepted on the Bovril Website as part of the Great Outdoor Revival. Bovril are looking for projects that will share a £100,000. to spruce up the great outdoors, Gillingham need to get the project into the top 100 to move onto the next stage.
“St Mary Gillingham Scout Group started in June 1932. They have purchased a field which is in need of work, it is heavily rutted and the hedge row needs major preservation work to allow it to become a thick mature hedge.”

Vale Tree Surgeons Ltd
are carrying out the
Annual Christmas Tree Chipping for Charity
at
the recycling centre in the library car park
next to Waitrose
in Gillingham.
on
Sat. 9th Jan.
between 9am and 3pm.
As always, they will not be charging for the trees to be chipped but will be asking for donations with 100% of donations going to charity.
This year they are being helped out on site by the Gillingham and Shaftesbury Round Table, so in return, all donations will be going to the Round Tables childrens wish campaign.

Training Courses for Adults to run Shooting
An NSRA YPS Tutors course has been set up to be run at Westmoors Scout HQ on Sat 23rd & Sun 24th Jan.
An NSRA YPS Tutors course has been set up to be run at Shaftesbury Scout HQ on Sat 13th & Sun 14th Feb.
An NSRA YPS Tutors course for 3P has been set up to be run at Shaftesbury Scout HQ on Sun 7th March. ~ This course is for those who hold a current YPS Tutor qualification, which is taught shooting in the standing position, and provides additional tuition skills in the other two shooting positions – prone and kneeling. It also recertifies current YPS Tutors for a fresh 5 year period commencing from the course date.
